Who We Help

Pain doesn’t just limit movement — it can affect your mood, your focus, and the way you show up in daily life. We work with people who are ready to break that cycle and get back to feeling capable and confident in their bodies. We specialize in helping:

  • People living with persistent or complex conditions like migraines, fibromyalgia, or whiplash

  • People living with sciatica, chronic low back pain, or chronic neck pain

  • Weekend warriors and athletes recovering from sports injuries

  • Adults managing arthritis or age-related changes who want to stay active

  • Those who want to strengthen both body and mind, and see movement as part of their overall well-being.

Whether your goals are big or small, we meet you where you are — and help you take the next step forward. For those who want to strengthen both body and mind, our approach blends movement, mindfulness, and education to support your whole well-being.

Chris Voirin, PT, DPT
Therapeutic Pain Specialist
Mindfulness Meditation Teacher

Chris Voirin founded Mindful Motion Physical Therapy to help people find the root cause of their symptoms, reclaim their health and indepence, and discover new ways of being, outside of the trappings of pain.

After graduating from Marquette University, Chris began his career in outpatient physical therapy in Denver, Colorado. There, he noticed something that bothered him — about 20% of his patients weren’t improving the way he hoped. Determined to understand why, he began exploring not just the body’s mechanics, but the full human experience of pain.

With extensive continuing education and certification as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist through Evidence in Motion, Chris has developed a deep understanding of the nervous system, the body, and how their interaction can influence pain. His studies also led him into mindfulness meditation, breathwork, and exploring how our reactions to pain can shape the pain itself. He is currently completing his Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach to better support those living with chronic conditions.

With these varying experiences, Chris weaves together a process that helps his patients understand and calm their nervous systems, rebuild the resilient strength needed to achieve their goals, and heal.

Chris currently lives in Wicker Park and loves exploring Chicago's food scene, spending time with his nephews, shooting street photography, playing basketball, taking care of the jungle of houseplants, and cooking for his wife.
